Coca-Cola GAA Féile Finals celebrate 40 years

2010 marked the 40th anniversary of the Coca-Cola GAA Féile na nGael competition, the All-Ireland Under-14 hurling, camogie and handball finals which took place in Clare.

Coca-Cola has supported Féile na nGael since the competition first began and this year marks the 40th anniversary of its sponsorship.

John Coffey, IOI Sports Sponsorship Manager said: “Coca-Cola is proud of its 40 year association with Féile. The fact that this unique celebration of Gaelic games has reached this milestone and is stronger than ever is a testament to the clubs, officials, players and everybody who has nurtured this wonderful festival of sport since it first began in 1971.”

This summer, the Coca-Cola GAA Féile Peil na nÓg Gaelic football finals took place in Derry and the event proved to be a huge success. At the conclusion of the finals, Christy Cooney, President of the GAA, said, “We’re delighted that Derry, a county with such a rich heritage in Gaelic football, hosted the Féile Peil na nÓg finals for the first time. It was a marvellous and successful weekend that will live long in the memory of everyone who attended and participated.”
